How to Join the Contest
Before you jump in, make sure your Switch 2 is updated to Ver. 1.1.1 and your system clock is synced to real time. You will also need to have finished Zorua’s initial request over at Bleak Beach to unlock the hide-and-seek mechanic in the first place.

Once that is squared away:
- Fire up the game while connected to the internet.
- Head over to the Pokémon Center and talk directly to Zorua.
- If the event isn’t popping up immediately, either travel to another town or hit “Save & Quit” and reload—that usually forces the trigger.
The core goal is simple: find Zorua and the hidden Pokémon as fast as you humanly can. The faster your clear time, the better the rewards you walk away with.

Tackling It in Multiplayer
While you can totally run this solo, playing with friends makes setting high scores a whole lot faster. Just keep in mind a few quirky rules about how prizes work depending on where you play:
- In Someone’s Town: The host and guests can team up to hunt. The fastest time set by anyone in the group becomes the town’s official record, but only the host gets the prizes. Also, make sure the host talks to Zorua before starting the multiplayer session.
- On Cloud Island: Everyone on the island can participate in the contest together. The fastest overall completion time sets the island record, but in this mode, only the player who set the best time gets the prize.
Whether you are grinding for the top spot on your own or turning it into a chaotic group effort on Cloud Island, make sure to log in before July 27 to grab your trophy.
