San Diego Comic-Con 2026 is right around the corner, and Nintendo is bringing some serious heat for the Switch 2. If you are lucky enough to attend the show from July 23 to July 26, you will be among the very first people in the country to get your hands on two major upcoming titles.
From a massive launch celebration to an unexpected internet celebrity appearance, here is exactly where you need to go to check out the Nintendo lineup.
Launch Weekend Splatting: Splatoon Raiders
Since Comic-Con lands right on the official launch weekend of Splatoon Raiders, Nintendo is turning its main show floor space into a massive celebration.
- Where to find it: Hall A, Booth #235 inside the main convention center.
- What you can do: You can jump straight into the new single-player treasure-hunting mode. The booth will let you test drive the three different gear setups—the Power Tank, Speed Tank, and Tactical Tank—so you can find your preferred playstyle before diving into the Spirhalite Islands with Deep Cut.
First U.S. Hands-On: Nintendo Switch Sports Resort
If you loved the motion-controlled chaos of the previous games, Nintendo just announced Nintendo Switch Sports Resort for the Switch 2, and it is making its U.S. debut at the show. The full game does not launch until October 22, but you can sample 4 of its 12 sports early.
- Where to find it: The Pointe, located inside the Hilton San Diego Bayfront Hotel.
- How it works: This is a first-come, first-served line starting at 9:30 AM PT each day.
- The Promenade Atmosphere: If the inside line is too long, head outside to The Promenade. Nintendo will be broadcasting live gameplay on massive screens, and the event staff will be hosting real-life, family-friendly sports activities to keep the energy going.
The Main Event: Challenge ‘The Rizzler’
In one of the most unexpected crossovers of the year, Nintendo is hosting a live stage event where you can test your motion-control skills against internet personality The Rizzler.
- When: July 23, from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM PT.
- Where: The Promenade at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront Hotel.
- How to enter: Nintendo staff will be randomly picking participants right from the crowd of people who have already played the Switch Sports Resort demo. There are no fancy prizes on the line here—just pure, unadulterated bragging rights if you manage to take him down on stage.
Keep Your Eyes Peeled
Even if you don’t have a badge to get into the convention center or the hotel areas, Nintendo is making its presence known around the city. They are running a custom trolley fully wrapped in Splatoon Raiders graphics throughout downtown San Diego to help fans get around in style.
Make sure to bring your wrist straps if you are heading to the Hilton, and get ready for a packed weekend of Switch 2 gaming.
