Today was the Nintendo summer direct 2026 and it was Nintendo time to shine with their latest games trailes and releases, and oh boy! we have some great games coming for the rest of the years and some legendary surprises.
The Big Highlights
Nintendo just dropped a massive list of what’s coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 and original Switch. the presentation revealed the legendary Ocarina of Time remake ( i’m still shaking here) the award winning game from 1998 is now been made from the grown up with new graphics and enhanced visuals coming exclusively for the Nintendo switch 2 this year, we didn’t got a specific date but it was showend that the game is coming later this year (probably December).

Another major annoucement was the new trailer reveal and gameplay of Kingdom hearts 4 (Nobody saw this coming for the Direct) it show Sora fighthing a giant Heartless in Shibuya. We also got a new beginning for the Xenoblades series called Xenoblade Gensis and much more. Hereโs more information about upcoming games highlighted in the presentation.

Rhythm Heaven Groove
The show open with Rhythm Heaven Groove, previously annouce on a another direct this game is all about finding heavenly rhythm and groove, the game will have 80 minigames in single player and with co-op multiplayer over 30, this game will be launching for both Switch and Switch 2 on July so if you enjoy Rhythm games this one is a most own.
Onimusha: Way of the Sword (Capcom still cooking this year)
Fight through intense swordplay action and explore a dark fantasy Kyoto overrun by otherworldly invaders in this action game. Take up the sword as Miyamoto Musashi, a fierce young samurai whose legend is etched in Japanese history and drive back the monstrous Genma into the underworld. More Capcom Games are coming as well for the Nintendo switch 2: Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen which will be releasing on October 9 and the action hack and slash series of Devil May cry 5: Devil Hunter Edition releasing On June 23.


Kingdom Hearts IV
Belive it or not Square Enix hasn’t abandon us kingdom hearts fans, after showing the complete series also coming to the Nintendo switch 2 on October 8,they surprise us with the latest trailer and gameplay for Kingdom hearts IV, no prober release date was giving but we are glad that the game is also coming for the Switch 2, can’t wait to see what world will be encounter and what new character will be shown, i can only imagine playing in a world of Star wars or Marvel’s Avengers!
One Piece: Grand Gourmet
Bandai Namco and Kairosoft just blindsided One Piece fans with the announcement of One Piece: Grand Gourmet, a brand-new sim management game launching on October 23, 2026. Heading to Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Steam, the App Store, and Google Play, the title puts players at the helm of a floating restaurant inspired by Eiichiro Odaโs iconic universe with over 400 characters this is a most play for all One piece fans.
Final Fantasy Resonance
Wow! as a RPG fan this was a such great surprise from Square Enix, Final fantasy is coming to the nintendo switch 2 with this new title Resonance a new HD-2D graphics. Much like Octopath Traveler 0, Final Fantasy Resonance takes the foundation of the mobile hit Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius and expands it, stripping away the gacha mechanics to deliver a more traditional RPG experience. Now, it’s just a waiting game to see how the community reacts to the launch, the game will be available for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 coming on October 22, 2026.
Orbitals

Nintendo has officially confirmed the release date for Orbitals, a striking co-op adventure launching exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2 on September 3, 2026.
The title turned heads during its latest showcase, instantly stealing the spotlight with a gorgeous art style heavily inspired by classic 70s and 80s anime. Think vibrant color palettes, retro character designs, and a space-faring atmosphere dripping with personality.
New Pokemon Pokopia Expansion Pass
during the direct Nintendo also reveal a new expansion coming to Pokopia, the expansion will be available for $35 USD and will expand the experiencie of the game, the first part of the expansion will release in August and will be called Bubbly Basin.
Among the main highlights is an all-new underwater city, where trainers can live alongside never-before-seen Pokรฉmon and discover new activities tailored to the aquatic environment.

Star fox Demo available Today
Yes that’s right Nintendo just annouce as wel that a Demo of the new Star Fox game is now available to play. the highly anticipated remake of the Nintendo 64 classic, this trial version allows players to experience firsthand some of the project’s new features ahead of its full release, scheduled for this coming June 25th.

The Duskbloods
The Duskbloods was also annouce during the Nintendo Direct, during the presentation we didn’t got a release date yet but with news for a new network test coming this summer, still no gameplay showen yet but been a From Software game we can say that this game deliverd.
Nintendo Switch Sport Resort
Ready to do some exercise.. from your sofa? Nintendo Switch Sport Resort is the latest entry in the “Sport” series, this game will contain a selection of 12 differente style of sport, like boxing, jet ski and a new thumb wars, you won’t have to wait to much for Nintendo Switch Sport Resort since is coming next October 22 2026

Fire Emblem: Fortuneโs Weave Revealed for Switch 2
Nintendo just shared the first details on the next tactical RPG entry, Fire Emblem: Fortuneโs Weave, which lands on the Nintendo Switch 2 on September 17.
The story drops you into a tournament setting called the Heroic Games, following four different characters whose paths cross:
- Cai: A kid trying to break his father out of prison.
- Dietrich: A swordsman looking for a real challenge.
- Theodora: A queen trying to secure her homeland’s future.
- Leda: A musician out for revenge.
If you like physical media, they are dropping a special Dagdan Collection alongside the standard version, which packages the game with a steel case, art cards, a map, and an artbook. Pre-orders open up on the eShop later today.

DRAGON QUEST MONSTERS:The Withered World
May 27th is the 40th Anniversay of one of my most beloved games series of all time, Dragon quest, they annouce a new trailer for the new main entry series Dragon quest XII and a spin off Dragon quest Monster the Withered World, while they didn’t show much, today Nintendo surprise us with a reveal Game play trailer. Dragon Quest Monster is a spin-off game series that consist pretty much on capturing monsters a la Pokemon, however on of the main features is that you can actually fuse most of the monster to create bigger and stronger ones, they also reveal the release date which will be coming out on December 3 2026.
The Xenoblade Trilogy is finally getting the Nintendo Switch 2 Upgrade and New aslo a new Xenoblade Game.

Whatโs New in the Upgrades?
Instead of just a straight port, the first game is getting a handful of quality-of-life updates to go along with the new hardware capabilities:

- Vastly Faster Travel: Theyโve added a high-speed vehicle specifically designed to make running across the game’s massive, open maps a lot quicker.

Xenoblade Genesis
Nintendo just gave JRPG fans a massive reason to look forward to 2027. During the latest showcase, Monolith Soft pulled back the curtain on Xenoblade Genesis, a brand-new entry in their acclaimed role-playing franchise built for Nintendo’s next-gen hardware.
While the debut trailer showcases a fresh adventure set in a sprawling fantasy world, the community’s detective mode is already in full swing. Because of a few choice details, fans are actively debating whether this is a secret prequel to the Xenoblade Chronicles saga or a soft reboot designed to kick off a completely new era for the series.
Splatoon Raiders
Nintendo is taking the Splatoon franchise in a slightly different direction this summer. A new single-player focused adventure, Splatoon Raiders, is officially headed to the Nintendo Switch 2 on July 23.
This time around, youโll be hunting for treasure across the Spirhalite Islands. You aren’t riding solo, eitherโthe Deep Cut trio is joining the crew, and you can actually have a member of the group accompany you on raids inside a customizable Exploration Bot to help take down Salmonid enemies.
The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time Remake is Real and confirm!
Nintendo wrapped up its latest Direct with the announcement that a full remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is on the way. The project is coming exclusively to the Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026. The goal is to bring the classic N64 adventure to a new audience with completely updated graphics.
What the Teaser Showed
Instead of showing actual gameplay or combat, the first trailer focused on recreating the original game’s opening cinematic step-by-step:
- The Opening Narration: The teaser features the Great Deku Tree telling the story of the boy from the Kokiri Forest who doesn’t have a fairy companion.
- The Visual Style: The camera tracks across various areas of Hyrule, showing a level of environmental detail that goes well beyond what we’ve seen in past entries.
- The Beginning: It ends with a quick shot of Link asleep in his bed, directly mimicking the opening moments of the 1998 original.
It’s a straightforward, nostalgic look at what will likely be a major anchor for the Switch 2’s early software lineup.
Ninjala 2: The Uncharted Planet
Ninjala Going Open World with Sequel in 2027. GungHo is taking the Ninjala franchise in a completely new direction. The upcoming sequel, Ninjala 2: The Uncharted Planet is officially ditching the traditional arena setups for the series’ very first open-world map. The game is confirm to be a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive, scheduled to launch in spring 2027.
This entry serves as the opening chapter of a planned two-part story arc. The plot kicks off when the main character accidentally breaks a forbidden seal, instantly teleporting them to a strange alien planet. From there, your main goal is simply to survive the terrain and find a way back home to Earth.
To navigate the massive new environments, you’ll have access to a mix of classic and brand-new movement mechanics:
Traversal: You can zip across the landscape using familiar Ninja Gum abilities like Gum Boost and Gum Balloon, alongside a new handy traversal tool called the Gum Hook.
Combat: The core combat still revolves around scoring “IPPON” knockouts. You’ll be defending yourself against alien threats using an arsenal that includes katanas, giant hammers, and rocket launchers.
Stellar Blade is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2
Shift Upโs sci-fi action title, Stellar Blade , is officially confirmed for a Nintendo Switch 2 release sometime in 2026.
The game puts you in control of EVE, an elite warrior dropped onto a ruined Earth to take it back. Experience intense combat and a twisting plot as you unravel the mysteries of Earthโs downfall in an immersive sci-fi world.If you haven’t tracked this one yet, it pairs a cinematic sci-fi story with a heavy focus on fast-paced, precise combat.
Alongside the headline reveals, Nintendo rounded out its presentation with a quick-fire montage detailing a massive wave of ports, remasters, and upgrades coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 and original Switch.
From day-one shadow drops to heavy-hitting multiplayer titles, here is a clean breakdown of everything shown during the montage.
Out Later Today
Nintendo dropped a couple of surprise day-one releases for the Switch 2 hardware:
- Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration: Lara Croft’s Siberian adventure hits the Switch 2 today, packaged with all previously released Season Pass content and the online co-op mode.
- SnowRunner: The off-road terrain simulator is also available on the new system starting today.
