If you’ve ever dreamed of seeing The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time brought to life through the lens of Studio Ghibli, animator and YouTuber RwanLink has just made that dream feel a little more real.

Known for his jaw-dropping recreations of iconic Zelda locations like Zora’s Domain and Lake Hylia in Unreal Engine 5, RwanLink’s latest teaser brings Castle Town to life in a magical, hand-drawn Ghibli-inspired style — and it’s absolutely breathtaking.

The 31-second 4K teaser, released on YouTube, previews a larger animation project set to debut on November 21, timed perfectly with the 25th anniversary of Ocarina of Time. According to the teaser’s description, the project began as a passion project back in August, and has since blossomed into an animated short featuring 30 original characters, all designed in a charming Ghibli aesthetic.

“This video has been crafted with immense love, passion, and dedicated hard work,” RwanLink shared in the comments. “I’m looking forward to sharing the final project with you all soon — thank you for your incredible support!”

While this project isn’t an official collaboration with Nintendo or Studio Ghibli, fans of both have responded with overwhelming excitement. RwanLink’s previous Zelda projects are still live, and fingers crossed, this tribute will remain untouched so we can all enjoy what might be the most magical version of Castle Town yet.

Want to see it for yourself? Watch the teaser on RwanLink’s channel and stay tuned for the full animation this November. If this teaser is any indication, it might be the most beautiful Zelda fan project to date.
