SaGa Emerald Beyond Launches April 25, 2024 — A New Chapter Begins in the Legendary RPG Series

SQUARE ENIX® has officially announced that SaGa Emerald Beyond, the latest entry in the iconic SaGa franchise, will launch digitally on April 25, 2024, for Nintendo Switch™, PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, PC (Steam), iOS, and Android devices.

The news came during the SaGa Glimmerfest 2023 livestream, which celebrated the franchise’s 34th anniversary. During the event, the development team revealed new details about the game’s rich universe, intricate branching paths, and character-driven storytelling that fans have come to love.

New Faces, New Destinies

Two of the game’s unique protagonists were showcased during the livestream, each with their own storylines shaped by the mysterious emerald waves—a supernatural force guiding fate and choices:

Ameya Aisling – Living under the alias Yumeha Izumi, this high school student in Miyako City is actually a witch from Pulchra whose magical powers were stolen. She sets out to recover her mana and reclaim her identity, guided by the same emerald waves.

Tsunanori Mido – A member of the Mido family, known for controlling mystical kugutsu puppets. He joins the Cathedral Project, a group of interdimensional explorers working to restore his city’s spiritual barrier and uncover lost energies.

New Key Art and Screenshots Revealed

Alongside the character reveals, SQUARE ENIX unveiled stunning new key art showcasing the game’s full cast of protagonists, plus fresh battle screenshots featuring Tsunanori and Ameya. These visuals offer a deeper look at the game’s turn-based combat, enemy designs, and stylish world traversal.
