Square Enix has officially announced that Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake will launch globally on October 30, 2025, bringing the legendary Erdrick Trilogy to its grand conclusion. This stunning double remake includes fully reimagined versions of Dragon Quest I and Dragon Quest II with the vibrant HD-2D visual style, modern gameplay enhancements, and brand-new story content.
Announced during Dragon Quest Day — the annual celebration of the original game’s 1986 debut in Japan — this release continues the momentum following the successful launch of Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake in 2024.
Continue the Legacy of Erdrick
Players will step into the boots of Erdrick’s descendants, embarking on two classic RPG adventures with modern flair. The remake seamlessly connects with the events of Dragon Quest III, offering newcomers and longtime fans a complete narrative arc from start to finish.
To make it easier to experience the full saga, Square Enix also announced the Dragon Quest HD-2D Erdrick Trilogy Collection, a digital-only bundle that includes all three remade titles for $99.99.
